The world's largest Christmas tree is in Gubbio, in Umbria. It winds its way up the mountain above the medieval town and, with 800 lights scattered throughout the forest, it has been in the Guinness World Records since 1991.

L'Albero di Natale più grande del mondo è stato realizzato nel 1981; tutte le sue luci sono alimentate con energia prodotta da fonti rinnovabili. Ha una base di 450 metri e si arrampica per oltre 750 metri sul monte Ingino, sopra la città medievale di Gubbio. Servono circa 7.500 metri di cavi elettrici di vario tipo e circa 1.300 ore di lavoro per montare tutti i punti luce, stendere i cavi e provvedere ai loro collegamenti.

The world's largest Christmas tree was created in 1981; all its lights are powered by energy from renewable sources. It has a base of 450 meters and climbs for over 750 meters on Mount Ingino, above the medieval town of Gubbio. Approximately 7,500 meters of various types of electrical cables and about 1,300 hours of work are needed to assemble all the light points, lay the cables, and provide for their connections.
