Marco Gallo, abile stilista, sarto e imprenditore, ha potenziato la visione dei suo genitori, Luigi e Maria Gallo, che nel 1992 fondarono la Camera Europea dell'Alta Sartoria (CEDAS) per offrire corsi di sarto, stilista e tagliatore. La scuola ha studenti che provengono da tutto il mondo ed in tal modo la tradizione sartoriale italiana, di inestimabile valore, viene mantenuta e divulgata. Il "made in Italy" è sinonimo di qualità ed è importante che venga promosso in tutto il mondo. Per questo motivo, la Sartoria Gallo ha aperto un atelier anche a New York dove è possibile vivere un'esperienza simile a quella di Roma. Nella prestigiosa Madison Avenue, il Maestro Eric Jensen, formatosi alla Camera Europea dell'Alta Sartoria a Roma, accoglie i clienti e mostra loro il valore di un capo personalizzato nei minimi dettagli, (una realizzazione molto diversa da quella delle "sartorie" che offrono solo la possibilità di adattare qualcosa di già pronto). A volte non si immagina quanto lavoro sia necessario per creare un capo d'abbigliamento di alta qualità. La struttura alla base di una giacca ci rivela i tanti passaggi richiesti per ottenere un buon risultato. L'interno è importante quanto l'esterno. E i dettagli fanno la differenza. The school has students from all over the world and in this way the Italian sartorial tradition, of inestimable value, is maintained and divulged. "Made in Italy" is synonymous with quality and it is important that it is promoted all over the world. For this reason, Sartoria Gallo has also opened an atelier in New York where it is possible to live an experience similar to that of Rome. A volte usciamo la mattina presto e torniamo a casa la sera tardi. Possiamo coniugare vita moderna ed eleganza? Vestirsi in maniera elegante è obsoleto? Marco: Possiamo certamente coniugare vita moderna ed eleganza e l'eleganza non passerà mai di moda. Conosco persone che portano in ufficio un doppio pantalone o una cravatta o una pochette in modo da potersi cambiare per la sera. Cambiando un accessorio o un dettaglio si può adattare l'abito a diverse situazioni. Molto però dipende dalla qualità dei materiali. 3.Ci si può vestire in maniera elegante ma anche comoda? Marco: L'idea che l'eleganza sia scomoda è un falso pregiudizio. Ma proprio per questo io credo nell'abito su misura, perché diventa una seconda pelle ed in tal modo anche l'eleganza diventa parte di noi.	We asked some questions to Maestro Marco Gallo: 1. What are the rules for dressing elegantly? (for women and for men) Marco: Elegance is not overdoing it. It means being sober and focusing on details. Elegance is the dress, but also the way it is worn. It is a combination of different aspects. 2. Our modern life is often hectic. Sometimes we go out early in the morning and come home late at night. Can we combine modern life and elegance? Is dressing elegantly obsolete? Marco: We can certainly combine modern life and elegance, and elegance will never go out of style. I know people who bring double trousers or tie or pochette to the office so that they can change for the evening. By changing an accessory or a detail you can adapt the dress to different situations. Much, however, depends on the quality of the materials. 3.Can we dress elegantly but also comfortably? Marco: The idea that elegance is uncomfortable is a false prejudice. But precisely for this reason I believe in tailored suits, because they become a second skin and in this way elegance also becomes a part of us.
