Assessment and grades

In this tutored course you review, practice and reinforce how to express opinions, describe objects, places or situations and you learn to ask for directions, make a phone call, go shopping, use the simple past, sing in Italian, watch Italian videos and much more!

Upon successful completion of the Beginner 2 course you should be able to "...understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment)... communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities... use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms your family and other people, where you live, living conditions, your educational background and your present or most recent job or study..." (standard definition from the Common European Framework Self-Evaluation).

Please note: in order to help students learn the language and improve their understanding of Italian culture and lifestyle, CyberItalian has revisited the famous Italian story "Pinocchio" and most CyberItalian self-study lessons present a dialogue with a modern Pinocchio (Pino). Through "A Modern Pinocchio Story", the CyberItalian course helps students to learn the Italian language and culture, as well as explore their own lives and learning challenges.
